Aipixo (“we,” “us,” “our”) operates the Aipixo mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, store, use, and manage your information, including personal data, when you use the App. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.

1. Data Controller

Aipixo acts as the Data Controller for the personal data processed through the App. We do not and will not process any special categories of personal data (such as racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious beliefs, health data, or sexual orientation).

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Photos You Upload

When you use our AI image generation feature, you upload photos from your device’s camera or photo library. These photos are transmitted to third-party AI processing services (see Section 4). Photographs uploaded to the App are expressly excluded from the category of data classified as biometric identifiers. Our App does not utilize facial recognition, biometric templates, or any other biometric identification systems regulated by applicable laws, including the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA).

2.2 Preferences and App Data

  • Gender preference, language selection, and content preferences selected during onboarding
  • Templates you mark as favorites (stored locally on your device)
  • AI generation history (templates used and generated images)

2.3 Purchase Information

  • Subscription status, plan type, and transaction identifiers
  • All payment processing is handled by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We do not collect or store your payment card details.

2.4 Technical and Usage Information

  • Device model, operating system version, and app version
  • Unique device identifiers and anonymous session identifiers
  • Screens viewed, features used, and interaction patterns
  • Crash logs and diagnostic information

2.5 Advertising and Attribution Data

  • Advertising identifiers (IDFA on iOS, Advertising ID on Android), collected only with your explicit consent
  • Install source, campaign data, and ad interaction data for measuring marketing effectiveness
  • Push notification tokens (with your permission)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide the AI image generation service and deliver generated images
  • Manage your subscription and purchase status
  • Send push notifications about new templates and updates (with your consent)
  • Analyze app usage to improve features and user experience
  • Measure advertising effectiveness and optimize marketing campaigns
  • Detect, prevent, and address crashes and technical issues
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

4. Third-Party AI Data Processing

When you use the AI generation feature, your uploaded photo is sent to Google for AI image processing.

  • Your photo is used solely to generate the AI image you requested
  • You are prompted for explicit consent before your first AI generation, in compliance with Apple App Store Guidelines 5.1.1(i) and 5.1.2(i)
  • You may revoke consent at any time via Settings > AI Data Sharing. If revoked, you will be prompted again before your next generation
  • Original uploaded photos are retained for no longer than 90 calendar days from the date of upload, after which they are automatically deleted from our servers

5. Third-Party Services and Data Sharing

We share information with the following categories of third parties:

AI Processing

  • Google (Vertex AI / Imagen) – AI image generation and photo processing

Analytics and Measurement

  • Amplitude – App analytics, user behavior insights, session replay
  • Firebase Crashlytics – Crash reporting and diagnostics

Advertising and Attribution

  • Meta Platforms (Facebook/Instagram) – Advertising attribution and conversion tracking
  • TikTok Business – Advertising attribution and conversion tracking
  • Singular – Mobile measurement, install attribution, SKAdNetwork

Infrastructure and Services

  • Supabase – Backend database, authentication, file storage
  • RevenueCat – Subscription management and purchase verification
  • OneSignal – Push notification delivery
  • Apple App Store / Google Play Store – App distribution and in-app purchase processing

We may also share information with law enforcement or government authorities when required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, or property. We do not sell your personal data.

6. App Tracking Transparency (iOS)

On iOS 14.5 and later, we request your permission before tracking activity across other companies’ apps and websites. This helps us understand which advertisements led you to Aipixo and measure campaign effectiveness. You may change your preference at any time in your device’s Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.

7. Anonymous Accounts

Aipixo does not require account creation, sign-in, or any personal identification. All users operate as anonymous sessions. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personally identifiable contact information. A unique anonymous identifier is generated for subscription management, generation history, and support purposes only.

8. Data Storage and Security

  • All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Database tables are protected by Row Level Security (RLS) policies ensuring users can only access their own data
  • Uploaded photos are stored with signed URLs that expire after 1 hour
  • We implement industry-standard security measures appropriate to the sensitivity of the data processed
  • Despite our efforts, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security

9. Data Retention

  • Uploaded photos – 90 days from upload, then deleted
  • Generated images – As long as your account exists
  • Generation history – As long as your account exists
  • Favorites – Stored locally; deleted on app uninstall
  • Preferences – As long as your account exists
  • Analytics data – Per third-party service retention policies (typically 12–24 months)
  • Crash logs – 90 days
  • Advertising identifiers – Per third-party service retention policies

Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data. Server-side data associated with your anonymous session is retained per the periods above, after which it is deleted.

10. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The App uses mobile SDKs (not browser cookies) for analytics, attribution, and functionality. These SDKs may collect device identifiers, usage data, and advertising identifiers (with your consent). You can control tracking through:

  • iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
  • Android: Settings > Google > Ads
  • In-app: Settings > AI Data Sharing

11. Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided data through the App, please contact us so we can promptly delete it.

12. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate personal data
  • Delete your data (by uninstalling and contacting us for server-side deletion)
  • Opt out of tracking via system settings or in-app controls
  • Revoke AI consent via Settings > AI Data Sharing
  • Data portability where technically feasible
  • Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

13. U.S. State Privacy Notice

This section applies to residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Virginia, Illinois, Texas, and Washington. Categories of Personal Information Collected:

  • Identifiers (anonymous device IDs, advertising identifiers)
  • Internet/electronic activity (usage data, interaction history)
  • Commercial information (subscription status, purchase history)
  • Geolocation data (coarse, derived from IP address)
  • Visual information (photos you upload for AI processing)

Your Additional Rights:

  • Right to know what personal information is collected and how it is used
  • Right to delete personal information
  • Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (We do not sell your personal data)
  • Right to opt out of targeted advertising (via App Tracking Transparency or device ad settings)
  • Right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights

Biometric Data: The App does not collect, capture, or store biometric identifiers or biometric information as defined under state biometric privacy laws, including the Illinois BIPA. Photos are processed for AI image generation only and are not used for facial recognition or biometric identification. To submit a privacy request, contact us at the email below. 14. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own, including the United States and the European Union. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers in compliance with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by the “Last Updated” date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
